The Cambridge Model Engineering Society run ground level steam, electric (and occasionally gas turbine) trains on model size tracks. Public open days take place on the second Sunday of each month from April to October.

The Society enjoys a quiet and peaceful location bordering fields on the south western edge of the city.

Opening Times:

Public open days generally take place on the second Sunday of each month from April to October. Gates open from 12.30pm, trains run 1.30pm-5.30pm (please check the website for any late changes). Tickets £2 per train ride, or £10 for six tickets.

Advance booking is not required.

Location:

Located south west of the city centre off Grantchester Road and behind Cambridge Rugby Football Club. Access via Fulbrooke Road.

Getting There:

Bus Regular bus services to and from the city centre operate along Barton Road to Wolfson College which is a short walk away. Limited bus services operate along Grantchester Road.

Parking:

Free onsite parking available.
