The Imperial War Museum Duxford is established as the European centre of aviation history. The historic site, outstanding collections of exhibits and regular world-renowned Air Shows combine to create a unique museum where history really is in the air.

IWM Duxford is set within a historic site where you can learn about Duxford’s role in the First World War, Second World War and the Cold War. Explore atmospheric exhibitions and discover historic objects. In AirSpace you can get up-close to some of the most famous aircraft in the world, including the Lancaster, Spitfire, Concorde and Vulcan. The American Air Museum (one of the eight exhibition buildings) is where you can explore dramatic displays of epic original US aircraft, innovative interactives and intriguing new personal objects – from letters to uniforms – many of which have never been on display before.
