Downing is a College of the University of Cambridge which was founded in 1800 through a bequest made by Sir George Downing. The College’s beautiful neo-classical buildings are set in spacious and peaceful gardens in the centre of Cambridge, close to many university departments.
It is home to a lively and diverse scholarly community, including about 420 undergraduates, 220 graduates and 53 fellows, supported by over 130 staff.

Open 10am-5pm daily when the College is open. Opening hours are subject to examinations and holidays and you should check the college website before planning your visit. Free admission.
Advance booking is not required.
Located to the south of the city centre opposite Parker's Piece.
Cambridge railway station: 15 minutes walk.
