Rufford Abbey sits in 150 acres of historic parkland, woodland and gardens in the North Nottinghamshire area known as the Dukeries. This varied park includes the ruins of a medieval monastery, a contemporary craft centre, gardens, woodland walks, children's play village, sculpture trail, and a lake.

You can see the romantic ruins of 12th century abbey and later country houseT and the formal gardens are once again open to the public. There is also an exhibition on the life of Rufford's medieval monks, a Wheel of Fortune Maze, children's garden, Sculpture trail and family packs to explore the sculptures, grounds, architecture and the Gallery.

Rufford Craft Centre comprises a gallery with a changing programme of exhibitions, Creative Learning Centre and seminar room all housed in the former stable block which dates from the 1660s.

Located north of Nottingham on the A614 just south of Ollerton.

Getting There:

Bus Stagecoach bus service 'Sherwood Arrow' operates from Nottingham Victoria bus station to Ollerton via Old Rufford Road. Alight at Rufford Park. The journey takes about 50 minutes.
