Bristol Pride is one of the UK's largest LGBT Pride events winning a number of awards including UK's second Best Pride – not bad considering the other top three charge £20+ admission. This year's event moves back to Castle Park/Green.
Bristol Harbour Festival is one of the UK's largest public festivals and a chance for the city to showcase its rich musical and performance roots. Over 250,000 festival fans head down to the two mile stretch along Bristol's waterfront to party, dance and relax. The festival takes place in July.
The annual Brislington Vintage Bus Show returns after a break of six years. There is a static display of buses and vintage cars at Brislington Park and Ride site, just off the A4, and free vintage bus services to numerous locations around the city and out into the surrounding countryside.
The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is Europe’s largest ballooning event. It’s a spectacular, free, four days of fun with activities on the ground for the whole family. During the fiesta over 150 hot air balloons will take off and light up the skies on Thursday and Saturday night with the famous night-glows.

The half marathon takes place in Bristol annually in September. The route starts on Anchor Road and then follows the floating harbour up to Hotwells, along the Portway to Shirehampton returning along the Portway and the south bank of the River Avon before winding through the Old City and finishing back on Anchor Road.
