Heffer's Bookshop, Cambridge

Heffers has been selling books in Cambridge since 1876 and is part of the fabric of the historic city centre. Now owned by Oxford's Blackwell’s Bookshops, they still pride themselves on being a proper bookshop, packed with a vast range of titles from all kinds of subjects to explore.

With knowledgeable and friendly booksellers who are ready to offer advice and recommendations, the wide-ranging stock covers so much more than just the current bestsellers, with well-stocked departments covering everything from aviation through midwifery to zoology and everything in between!

The first thing you’ll see as you walk through the doors is The Oak, a table almost as old as Heffers and an institution in itself. It’s continually evolving with new titles being delivered everyday so if you’ve read a review somewhere, listened to an excerpt on the radio or overheard someone recommend a book, then it’s more than likely that you’ll find what you want here.
