Cardiff has two airports within easy travelling distance of the city, as well as good rail links to London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports.
Cardiff Airport is the closest but currently suffers from falling passenger numbers. Public transport links to the airport are also getting worse. Bristol Airport is just over an hour away by either National Express coach or rail/bus link. Easyjet and Ryanair offer a better choice of flights at Bristol than those available at Cardiff.
London Heathrow can be reached by rail via London Paddington or direct by National Express coach service. London Gatwick can be reached by rail, changing at Reading, or direct by National Express coach service.
