Nottingham Express Transit

Nottingham has its own tram system called the Nottingham Express Transit or NET for short. The system first opened in March 2004 with the main route through the city centre to Hucknall in the north. Extensions to the west and south opened in 2015.

Nottingham railway station is the hub of the network with all trams operating via Old Market Square in the city centre. Trams run to Hucknall and Phoenix Park in the north of the city, the University of Nottingham, Beeston and Toton in the west and Clifton in the south.

You can buy tickets for a single journey or to travel all day on the tram. You can also buy a ticket to use all trams, buses and trains in the area.
