Nottingham is well connected by Road Transport. There are two coach operators competing for business which have greatly reduced fares between Nottingham and London. Local bus users are well served by Nottingham City Transport and Trent Barton.
There are two bus stations in Nottingham as well as a bus hub near Old Market Square on Friar Lane/Beastmarket Hill/Angel Row and King Street/Queen Street. Broadmarsh Bus Station (under construction - buses temporarily stop outside) in the south is the main bus station for the city, while Victoria Bus Station in the north is for country bus services heading northwards out of Nottingham. The free Centrelink bus service linking the two bus stations has now been withdrawn.
Both Megabus and National Express coach services now depart from Station Street while Broadmarsh Bus Station is being rebuilt. As well as coaches and buses, Nottingham is awash with taxis and it's only late on a Saturday night that you might find it difficult flagging one down. There are though plenty of private hire cab firms that you can call instead.
There is a limited bus service in Nottingham during the night with several routes operating 24 hours including the service to the University of Nottingham.
