Fat Cat Café Bar
Greyfriars Road, Cardiff Tel (029) 2022 8378
Trendy, stylish upmarket bar,
popular with business during the day and the younger,
trendy scene evenings at the weekend. Not as good as it was, bottle beers were warm, rather surly staff and
the excellent steak and ale pie has been dropped from the menu! |

Big, brash, bright - school
canteen meets Ikea! Expensive bar, quite trendy, popular

Buffalo Late
Bar
Windsor Place, Cardiff
Tel (029) 2031 0312
This unique, individual and
independant bar slightly off the main patch offers a 'different'
range of beers, wines and snacks. Live music and a beer
garden too, though rather pretentious customers and service
was very slow when we went.

The Crockerton Late Bar with Dancefloor
Greyfriars Road, Cardiff
Lloydd's No1 chain with many cheap drink offers, attracting a mix of students and locals. Steer clear of the food, we waited an hour and ten minutes
for a rubbery beef burger with no garnish! Rather dark, can get a bit "lively" on the streets outside. |

Tiger Tiger Bar/Nightclub
Greyfriars Road,
Cardiff Tel (029) 2039 1944
Multi room venue with a dining
area, several smaller bars and a mediocre club on the
first floor. Wants to be upmarket but just doesn't have
that feel and no personal touch for its customer. |

Central Bar Bar (Wetherspoon)
Windsor Place, Cardiff
Worst Wetherspoon in Cardiff.
Bit cramped, spread over two levels. The cheap food and
drinks make it popular, though the Sunday roast we had
was badly served and pretty awful. |
