to our website, all the news, pics and goss from the Best
Student Session in Wales!
'bounce' is the biggest mix of all the usual student stuff
- cheap drinks, no dress code, classic student tunes,
themed nights, fun features, big prize giveaways - basically
everything that has made 'bounce' the best place to be
over the past SEVEN years!

Why Thursdays are 'bounce'! |
|
'bounce' launched in 2004 (over seven years ago!)
at Springbok Bar in Cardiff. The aim was to create
a student party on a Thursday night with cheap entry,
cheap drinks, weekly fun themes, great music and GOOD
TIMES!
Within a month of the opening night, over 800 students
were partying at 'bounce' every week!
In 2005 Springbok was refurbished to become Dewi's
and the party grew to the 1,000 capacity nearly every
single week - 'bounce' had become Cardiff's Biggest
Thursday night and one of Cardiff's most popular student
nights! |
Sadly Dewi's suddenly closed in 2006 and we needed a
new venue - a bigger venue to get everyone in!
We chose Walkabout which at the time only had 30 people
in on a Thursday night but had the capacity of nearly
1,500!
The move was a success - the same faces in a new place!
The party quickly grew to 1,500 and 'bounce' was once
again at capacity nearly every week! We knew that it
was the people and not just the venue that made 'bounce'
and we kept firmly to our original student ideals. |

Now, in 2011, we enter a new era for 'bounce'. After
seven years of listening to our party goers we're
moving to a new, bigger venue - Oceana!
We'll be able to offer five rooms of fun and entertainment
every Thursday including the new urban/RnB room. We'll
have guest DJs such as Calvin Harris and Judge Jules,
as well as all our ORIGINAL fun themes from the past
seven years!
We hope you'll come with us as the party continues
- same faces in a second new place!
And now OFFICIALLY BIGGER & BUSIER than our previous
venue is!! |
