Energy Cup Semi-Finals March

The second season of
the Anglo-Welsh cup competition, now the EDF Energy Cup,
comes to the Millennium Stadium on Saturday 22 March 2008
with a semi-final double header with all four teams slugging
it out for a place in the 2008 final.

RHS Spring Flower Show Cardiff April

The Annual Show features
gardens, plants, talks and demonstrations and takes place
in Bute Park from Friday 18 - Sunday 20 April 2008. |
Heineken Cup Final May

Two years after Munster's
success against Biarritz in the 2006 competition, the Heineken
Cup Final returns to the Millennium Stadium on Saturday 24 May
2008 (Kick-Off 5.00pm) for the climax of the 2007-2008 competition.

FIM British Speedway Grand

the last six years, Speedway returns to the Millennium Stadium

The three-day Big Weekend,

The multi-cultural and poly-sexual
day of entertainment takes a year off in 2008 but may be back
in 2009.
Cardiff Half Marathon October

There will not be a Cardiff
Full Marathon this year due to the cost of putting on this event
and the relevant lack of take up. However, the Cardiff Half
Marathon will be going ahead and will take place on Sunday 19
October 2008. The route is going to be amended and it is planned
that it will take in more of the city centre and the attractions
of our fair city than the previous course. The start and finish
will be at Cardiff City Hall.
Sparks in the Park November
The annual Cardiff Firework
Display organised by Cardiff Round Table takes place on Saturday
1 November 2008 in Bute Park.
Winter Wonderland November

Set on the lawns outside
City Hall from Thursday 13 November 2008, it features an outdoor
ice rink, drink and food outlets and several fun fair rides.
Wales Rally GB December

Wales Rally GB returns to
Cardiff from Thursday 27 November - Sunday 30 November 2008
being the season finale of the FIA World Rally Championship.
The Cardiff Stage - the world’s first indoor Special Stage -
proved to be very popular last year, attracting an audience
which exceeded expectations into the Millennium Stadium.
